woensdag 05 februari 2014

A robot hand developed by a mechanical engineer from the Technical University of Eindhoven can be much more precise than a surgeon performing microsurgery.

The prototype of the robot hand is developed in collaboration with the Maastricht University Medical Center. The TU/e and the medical center expecte the results of the first clinical trials within a year.

Raimondo Cau will defend his Phd thesis entitled "Design and Realization of a Master-Slave System for Reconstructive Microsurgery'' February 5 at 16:00. His supervisor is Prof. Maarten Steinbuch.
